I found myself really overwhelmed with work for this seasons show, But I wanted to check in and see how all of you are doing? Have you taken my advice and built friendships amongst yourselves. I found a really beautiful card tonight that said
"for every star there is a person", when you look to the stars you share with someone you know a thing of beauty. What have you seen lately that has inspired you guys, I have some advice for you, I do this every day , make a note of something amazing you have never seen before and write it on the blog share one thing a day with all of us. Today, I saw NYC from the top of the mandarin oriental, central park is so beautiful from above and all the buildings old and new, brilliant!!!

I had to take a break from fashion week preparation last night, I went to a brilliant reading last night called Creative Control at the New York fringe festival, featuring…“ Bulls” a brilliantly Written and directed piece by my new friend Dan Meyer, my friend Theo was in it also one of the most brilliant men in American cinema my new friend Paul Rudd. Also a very funny piece “The Whitest Lie” Written & directed by AndreaRosen.

It is getting into a very busy time for me with fashion week so near, please know I am thinking of you all and I thank you for your kindness and beautiful words, a part of each of you has inspired this seasons collection. I have an idea, why not become friendly amongst each other and then when I come back you will have amazing stories to tell me of your new journey, and your new friends. I adore you all for being so different and each individual so beautiful, thank you. We all come from different places but with great intentions, to dream and love. Never forget to wake up in the morning look in that mirror and say I am beautiful and amazing and can do anything I set my mind to. I adore you all so much I came to you with very few friends and now I have so many beautiful people to get to know, thank you all.

What is the most memorable place that you have ever been a place that changed your life, your direction? What was that direction and where did you end up afterward? I was walking through the garment district today, and I suddenly remembered when I first came to New York, the most pivotal moment in my life. I was requested by Nian Fish at KCD to come to New York to audition for the Versus Spring fashion show by Gianni Versace. I walked into the Calvin Klein building on 39th street and waited in line with the most beautiful model I had ever seen her name was Alek, darlings, it was Alek Wek before she was a supermodel. I was so excited, well I spent four years in the industry as a model it was a very hard and amazing time, I think it was most amazing because I spent my entire childhood being told I was never good looking enough, being told my dreams were ridiculous. I met some of the most interesting people in art, fashion, entertainment, for one moment I was beautiful and could believe in more, it was also a very lonely time. That is when I started searching for what it was that made me happy, made me whole.
Well to get back to the garment district I found the most beautiful lace today from a mill in france, handmade like they used to do in the early centuries, I want to create beautiful gowns from it.
I have some amazing news, a little red carpet surprise keep posted I will let you know what it is.

I woke this morning and after doing bikram , I realised, its time to not be sad anymore, I am so grateful for all of the new and amazing friends I have made, I should be really happy and I am. I am eager to share my journey with you, but you have to promise to share yours. Thank you my new friends, you have made me believe again. In asian culture the frog is a symbol of ascension and good fortune as it leaps through life, its time. thank you

So darlings, a friend sent me an image of my singing at Birdland the other night, they have an open mike there for all musicians no matter if you are a celebrity or an aspiring performer, that is amazing! Sometimes Liza Minelli sings, sometimes my friend Michael Feinstein, The range is amazing I really love New York for its diversity. If you are ever there and see me come say hello.
