The top one seems more dapper and mysterious, hence more "you". Kinda like Maurice Sendak's "In the Night Kitchen" meets "Chicago"'s Billy Flynn. I like!
Quite interesting.I agree with the person who commented before me that the first one is more "you."
I agree with the above, haha, I definitely think the first one is more "you." But they're both cute. :]
Hah, that's so cute! I think the first one looks more like you, but I love the hat on the first one :D I love anime characters too!!!<3~Ava
XD whoops. I meant I like that hat on the second one :)
Haha I love those! I think the first one looks more like you, except for the hair.
I agree the first one does you more justice. Its more fashion foward and mysterious. But they both are very cute, just like you. ♥ Lindsay
You'd be a pretty sweet anime character. You'd look pretty sweet in Cowboy Bebop! stay fabulous
This comment doesn't necessarily have anything to do with this particular post, but I just wanted to say that your entries are very inspiring. Your graciousness and generosity of spirit, which come through in your manner of writing, are just some of the intangibles that set you apart. And for what it's worth, not once did we doubt that you are capable (more than capable, I might add) of creating fashion.Cheers!
Both are so adorable! :) They both resemble your style in a way. Cute! ;) Anime characters are always cute!
The top one nails your persona. Both are nice tributes though. J
Haha! I know who did that first one! God Elouai Candybar Doll maker is crack. Have you been to the website? So many choices and so many wacky choices. Good fun when you are bored to tears or need a mindless distraction. They had a meme going around on LJ where your friends would post their dolls of you and how they saw you. Rather interesting actually.
Those are awesome! I'm not really into anime, but my friends are trying and I must admit that I'm starting to like it. It helps that Cowboy Bebop reminds me of my beloved Firefly...
Those make me giggle. The top one has such panache!
haha, those two are disimilar.
I'm not an anime fan, but I used to spend hours on the eLouai Candybar doll maker creating dolls of all my friends, favorite artists, and myself. My friends did the LJ meme and my dolls all looked different, the first one looks a lot like you though.
those are so cuteyou have some great fans
so cute :)

Malan, (or anyone who knows),when is fashion week? is it possible to buy tickets? I would looooove to see your show Malan, and I would buy tickets if I could! I love all your designs (especially the fall 2006 collection) :)Acollett05@aol.com
I love anime, too. I'd love to talk to you about it sometime. Especially since you're asian, know more about it.It's andie_yasha, I changed my email:firstname.lastname@example.org awaiting a reply, andie
Cute! I'm recovering from an accident and that made me smile.. You always make me smile! Hope you're doing well and taking it easy..Kate
Oh! I love anime as well. I'm not a huge fan of the cartoons, just the art. It's so funny...so Japanese...so 'kawaii' (Japanese for 'cute'; it's a religion there).
I like the 2nd one (with the hat) the best. The first one reminds me too much of one of the Gotti boys (it's the hair!!!). All it's missing is some bling!
hi, Malan:I met you at Hudson hotel. Do you still remember me? I like the second one cause' it's so cute.
haha! thats so cool!! I think the second person is more u like in party mode. awsome!!
Oh jeez, you actually saw those? Ha ha, it's really nice to know you give a crap about these silly fan things. If I were going to put you in an anime you'd so go in Paradise Kiss. I personally wasn't fond of the characters because they were all so into "beautiful tragedy" and constantly depressed, but I think you'd fit in with all the sophistocated glamour (and obviously not the perpetual depression).
